### Summary
The Greenville VA Health Care Center is a new 116,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility providing integrated Primary Care and Mental Health services to enrolled Veterans. The facility also offers multiple medical and surgical specialties that include, but are not limited to, radiology, laboratory, audiology, cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, optometry, dental services, physical therapy, gastroenterology, and minor procedures.

### Responsibilities
The PACT (Patient Aligned Care Team) Licensed Practical Nurse will function under the direction of a primary care nurse in support of the physician or mid-level providers. The LPN will perform, report and record assigned nursing care in the Primary Care Clinics, including, but not limited to:
* Assisting with minor procedures, including obtaining and arranging necessary equipment, positioning patients, ensuring comfort and privacy - monitoring patient during the procedure
* Provision of direct nursing care to patients with an emphasis on patient teaching, care coordination and interventions such EKGs and phlebotomy
* Documentation of care activities
* Perform procedures, treatments and delegated tasks
* Medication administration and oxygen therapy
* Clinical reminders with appropriate consults and alerts as indicated
* Cleaning and reprocessing of reusable medical equipment
In operation since 1999, the previous Greenville CBOC included primary care, mental health, prosthetics, and physical therapy services. The New HCC will offer specialty services along with those These services include: Women's Health, Audiology, Cardiology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Hematology/Oncology, Hepatology, Nephrology, Neurology, Urology, Podiatry, ENT, General surgery, Orthopedics, Optometry, Dental, Pharmacy, Radiology, and Laboratory services. Minor procedures such as Endoscopy will also be available. The Greenville VA Health Care Center will serve 9000 patients and has a rapidly growing patient base. We transitioned into this multi-specialty HCC in January 2014; and we anticipate a growing partnership with East Carolina University.
Greenville is located 80 miles from the Crystal Coast Beaches, including Atlantic Beach, Emerald Isle, historic Beaufort and Morehead City. We are also within commuting distance of the waterfront towns of Washington and New Bern. Greenville is also located 80 miles east of the capital city, Raleigh.
**Work Schedule:** Monday-Friday, 8 hour tours between the hours of 7am-6:00pm, with occasional Saturdays.

### Qualifications
**Basic Requirements**:
* United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
* Graduate of approved School of Practical or Vocational Nursing
* Current, full, and unrestricted license
**Preferred Experience:**
* A minimum of two years successful nursing practice
* One year recent experience in the outpatient primary care/internal medicine setting
* Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and require minimal supervision
* Demonstrated ability to work well with patients/families and with other health care professionals
* Demonstrated experience in providing patient education and health coaching
* Demonstrated ability to use computer systems in support of patient care delivery
* Documented evidence of interdisciplinary collaboration, team work, and excellent interpersonal skills
* Documented evidence of providing consistent excellent customer service
* Computer skills and typing proficiency sufficient to permit real-time documentation of patient encounters
